Our take
The XDJ-RX3's large touchscreen is a game changer for browsing tracks and setting cues—it's fast and intuitive. I love the built-in effects variety; the dub echo is particularly tasty. The 16 pads per deck are great for hot cues and loops. My main gripe is the 16-bit/48 kHz sampling rate; at this price point, I'd expect 24-bit. Also, the tempo faders feel a bit plasticky. But for a standalone system that integrates seamlessly with rekordbox, it's hard to beat. The touchscreen alone justifies the upgrade over older models.
