Our take
I've been using the XDJ-RR for a few weeks now and it's a solid standalone unit. The build quality is what you'd expect from Pioneer—robust and professional-feeling. The two-deck layout is intuitive, and the 8 pads per deck offer plenty of creative control for hot cues and loops. However, I do miss having more than one mic input, especially for guest MCs. The lack of warranty from the manufacturer is a bit concerning, but so far everything works perfectly. The sound quality is clean, and the loop/sampler effects are handy. For the price, it's a good entry into the all-in-one Pioneer ecosystem.
