Getting the XDJ-XZ with a case is a smart move because this unit is heavy. The case adds some bulk but protects it well. The controller itself is fantastic – the 4-channel mixer and dual-layer decks are perfect for my gigs. I love the responsive jog wheels and the built-in effects. The only downside is the screen size; it's a bit small for detailed waveform viewing. Also, the standalone operation doesn't support all features like when connected to a laptop. But for the price with the case, it's a solid deal.
